pavements should be designed by women

i don’t know how many of you have walked the pavements in Piraeus or Athens (Greece), but they were definitely not designed by a woman. big mistake!

up to now, I have had to reheel all my shoes 4 times each (including my gorgeous Ted Baker Boots) this winter - and winter is not even over yet.

so should we blame it on the council - the tile designer - or the shoemaker - which one is at fault or to be fair - just blame it on all three of them

so risking it all, i have now succumbed to walking on the road, as it is less “bumpy”, less “slippery” and probably actually safer for my wardrobe.

home alone

one of the worst things about being separate, divorced or whatever they call it (or whatever you want to call it) these days, is when the “ex-other half” has the child.

the house seems to be empty without the little pitter patter of my son’s feet or even the irritating 10 times over “mummy”, “mummy”.

it was easy the first year - i couldn’t believe that I actually had time to myself - i could go and see that movie that i always wanted to see - i could window shop until I dropped - i could make myself a toast for dinner instead of having to cook a well-prepared dinner (or at least try to cook such a dinner) - and i could do the supermarket shopping in 10 minutes flat.

but now all of the above sounds so mundane

i would give up it all up just to have him here.

bitching to my friends (or my mother) gets me nowhere - they say it is only for a week - but that week seems like the longest week in my entire life and the day of my son’s return never seems to arrive.

home alone - i have six more nights to go.

off with his head

single.jpgi have tried to hold back from blogging about him (my mother would not be impressed), but i can hold back no longer (sorry mum)

alas the ex-hubby comes onto the scene

and so i ask myself - are all ex-hubbies so mean or am i just the unlucky one

how many women out there feel the same way that i do - we try and talk to them rationally only to find ourselves receiving an irrational reply

the nicer you try to be to them - the nastier they become

i think the queen in “alice in wonderland” had the best idea ”off with his head”

problem is - what do we do with the head afterwards

christmas in june

december-2006-my-xmas-friend.jpgthis coming june, my son and i will be the talk of the neighbourhood

apart from already being classified as the “foreigners” we will soon be classified as the “weirdos” - I will have to sit down and try to figure out which is worse!

for christmas 2007 is arriving six months early this year (or 6 months late in our particular case) - the tree will be alight from top to toe and there will be a constant sing-a-long to jingle bells.

the only thing that will differ from any other christmas that we’ve had is that santa claus will be in the form of my mummy dearest bearing gifts from afar

for those of you that are still “bloggeled” by the above - my son and I were not able to travel to oz last year for christmas so six months later - christmas is coming to us.

blogfamation of character

can one be sued for blogfamation of character - probably not - but i wonder.

feeling in the mood to be really bad - i have a fab list of all the people i would like to blogfamate for the world to view.

of course this could cause major complications in my life - if discovered - but since there are so many people blogging these days - the chances of my blog going angry-woman.jpgfront page on any of the search engines is probably very minimal

but i will let it alone tonight - perhaps i am just in a bad mood and will feel differently when i wake up tomorrow morning about those people highlighted on my BF list - but then again i don’t think so

do you think you could be one of them …
